Mapping UI web app design with interactive tools and buttons

Creates an easy way for users to add fields to a map in rural or agriculture setting and print these fields or areas of interest in multiple formats like magazines, wall maps and prints, murals, t-shirts, carpets rugs and other similar print media.

We need an easy to understand, use, and follow mapping interface UI that is simple and robust. The creation of specific buttons for and linking functions that control the map interface and how other map attributes are selected shown and edited. Allow other windows to pop up to add and edit specific information while also managing printing functions. There are many functions needed on the main UI. These include: Logo - on the main screen and links to the main website Map Layers - Consists of a different layers that are showcased on the main map window that can be toggled on and off. Some layers will be able to be toggled on together while some won't. - NAIP (national agriculture imagery program) - Updated Imagery (future options) - Base Background - Public Land Survey (PLSS - Public land survey system, CLSS - Canadian land survey system) - CLUs (common land units - US only) - Imported Boundaries (managed under Fields) - 3rd Party Boundaries (might have multiple options under this) - Roads - Counties - Townships - Sections - Other layers (need sub selection, will depend on area of the world, example would be geographic features like lakes, rivers, and parks) Fields - This button feature would open up options to add and manage field adding/editing/managing tools - Add a field (sub field - select, draw, import) Select would be given feature already, draw would open up draw/edit/merge/save/delete module somewhere, import would open a new window to import files like .shp, .geojson, other. - Group fields (sub field - option to select fields in a new window to group the fields under a specific grouping name or farm - Manage fields (sub field - view individual and groups of saved field in new window to edit them in name, color, crop type, year, with other future options or delete specific attributes to each one) - Other - for future add on Templates - An area to select (called Standard Templates), Create, Edit, and Mange print ready templates. - Select - pre-made templates in a new window showing a multitude of options. Once selected will open up another window/option to choose fields you want to add to the template as well as other information needed by the template. - Create - A new window that has tools to create brand new custom templates via a separate UI feature to be added later. Might need to open in a new window page entirely. - Edit - A place to edit former saved templates and to direct to same Create feature to change former templates. - Manage - A place to delete, rename, duplicate templates Print - A area to select the products that are available to print. There will be a plethora of options but to start it will be: Booklet, Magazine, Wall Map, Rug, Mural, Other (more to add later) - Each product option will need a new popup window opened to showcase the options available to add specific fields, groups of fields, or other data to the product. TBD - Once product is selected an agreed to with final template and product you will be lead to paying and shipping options in a new pop up window. Typical options to showcase here like through Stripe for instance. Print Setup - This will open up another popup window to select other printing options that may be needed. It could be an option in the main Print option to begin with to select specific options that are tied to each product and showing a realistic end product view on the screen to confirm before all goes forward. Past Prints - An area to view past orders and allow an option to select older option and reprint under a different product or to shift to editing the template used to reconfigure it. Account - General account management features like username, password stuff and address and payment options.

I'm open to many different ways the main map window UI could look but the design needs to be fairly simple as well for users. I'd like a 1-2-3 step process from start to finish in general and it needs to flow seamlessly while being intuitive to not confuse people. I'd like the buttons for the main functions on the top of the map window with first steps from left to right but open to other ideas as well.
