Design a fun and youthful Icon for a social media app

Organisation: Paramida Tech is a technology company who intends to build technological solutions which bridge people together between different cultures. Product: A social media app, which specialises in locating and bringing people together who share similar interests. (we call a common interest group as a "circle") Target Audience: Initial target audience is fans who love anime, comics and games. However, the broader goal for the app is to reach the mainstream. Therefore, the app needs to be balanced in that sense. Age: 12-25 Location: North America Education: School & University Interests: Anime, Comic & Games Behaviour: active mobile users who want to be instantly notified about things happening around them. Values: self identity is more driven by their interests and likes, they tend to see the world more as a 'world community', rather than people divided by their race, colour, sexual orientation, and nationalities.

We'd love to see an app icon designed with a bring and youthful taste since our target audience is aged between 12 and 25.

We'd like the icon style to be very simple and easily recognisable. Flat design is one of the directions which we'd like to explore, as well as google style's material design. Colour wise, our app's theme colour is orange (attached file - App name has been re-named to 'Famlink' - the meaning behind the name: linking up fam around the world). We are thinking of having the new icon to symbolise the capacity of our app on connecting people from all over the world based on their shared interests and common ground. And we would like to see am icon which best presents that idea very visually without thinking much. 16th June Update: We are currently only considering iconic designs rather than letter designs.
